ECS Performance/East Coast Swappers stemmed from the efforts of three individuals,
Paul Scott, Matt Seyller and James White, who at that time combined shared some ten years of Subaru expertise, from maintenance to custom turbo installations and even custom audio equipment and installations. ECS Performance, as we are referred to today, established its roots in a small garage in Westfield, Massachusetts back in 2004 under the name East Coast Swappers. Almost immediately the company saw huge growth from providing a service unique to the eastern United States, namely swapping Subaru turbo power plants into non-turbo Subaru models. Thus, we saw the need for a much larger facility, and by the summer of 2005 the company relocated to a 2600 square foot facility in Springfield, Massachusetts where we currently operate. However, James sought to further his education, and he parted from ECS in the spring of 2006. Paul and Matt currently co-own the company.
Of course, since our humble beginnings ECS Performance has branched out from performing strictly Subaru swaps to providing all forms of service to all import vehicles, from simple installs and maintenance to full race engine builds to even EFI tuning. If you can dream it up, then we can make it happen! ECS Performance is very well known and respected within the Subaru community already, and it is quickly making a name for itself in the Nissan, Honda, Toyota and Mitsubishi realms. We also now import Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) parts for resale and stock performance parts from almost every manufacturer. Whatever you need, ECS can get it for you!
The ECS family grew over time too. More recently we took
on a six-person staff, including Paul and Matt, three mechanics
Seth, Ryan and Eugene, and salesperson and customer representative
Adrian. The shop is currently in a state of expansion as
well, in which a showroom, new lifts, and dyno facility
will eventually be housed. |

When we are not open for business, ECS Performance enjoys its spare time competing with our two show cars on both regional and national show circuits. We also compete in regional drag racing with two fully built Subaru Impreza GC8 drag cars.
